Chris Hero, revered as one of the most accomplished independent wrestlers of his era, made a splash with his technical prowess and storytelling across promotions like ROH, PWG, and CHIKARA. He famously partnered with Claudio Castagnoli (Cesaro) in The Kings of Wrestling, becoming one of the most dominant tag teams in indie history.
Signed to WWE in 2011 as Kassius Ohno, Hero was a cornerstone of the early NXT developmental system. He trained alongside and competed with future stars like Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose (Jon Moxley), Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns, and Big E. Despite early promise and working with top trainers like Dusty Rhodes and William Regal, Hero was ultimately released in 2013 before reaching the main roster, leaving fans stunned.
