Step back into the wild world of 1980s and 1990s professional wrestling with Jacques Rougeau in this 2004 shoot interview, originally produced by RF Video.

Born into one of Canada’s most famous wrestling families, Rougeau built an unforgettable career in the WWF as one half of The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers alongside his brother Raymond, the controversial Mountie, and later as part of The Quebecers with Pierre Ouellet.

Rougeau reflects on his years working for Vince McMahon, the realities of life on the road, and the backstage politics of the WWF during one of wrestling’s most memorable eras. His career included working alongside major stars such as Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Randy Savage, and The British Bulldogs.

One of the most notorious chapters of Rougeau’s career was his real-life backstage conflict with Dynamite Kid, a confrontation that became one of wrestling’s most widely discussed locker-room incidents. The story remains an important part of the behind-the-scenes history of the WWF’s late-1980s era.

From his run as WWF Intercontinental Champion to winning the WWF Tag Team Championship with The Quebecers, Rougeau experienced the business from multiple perspectives—as a second-generation wrestler, a tag team specialist, a memorable villain, and a promoter in Canada.

For fans of old-school WWF, The Mountie, The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers, The Quebecers, and classic wrestling shoot interviews, this 2004 conversation offers a retrospective on a career spanning several generations of professional wrestling.
