Blackjack Mulligan Shoot Interview 10/15/15
Step onto the Headlock Ranch and into the world of one of wrestling’s true cowboys.
In this rare and deeply personal shoot-style interview, Blackjack Mulligan opens the gates to his home in Eagle Pass, Texas — the legendary “Headlock Ranch” — and delivers one of the most candid interviews of his career. Now officially licensed and remastered by Title Match Network, this is a one-of-a-kind sit-down with a larger-than-life figure who helped shape multiple generations of professional wrestling. Originall produced by Highspots.
Filmed on location at his ranch just weeks before his WWE Hall of Fame induction, Mulligan reflects on a career that stretched from Verne Gagne’s training camp to main event arenas across America.
Inside this exclusive interview, Mulligan discusses:
• Training under Verne Gagne and breaking into the AWA
• Dominating the Mid-Atlantic territory
• His legendary tag team with Blackjack Lanza
• Stories about Larry Hennig, Dusty Rhodes, Ric Flair, and Dick Murdoch
• His real opinions on the wrestling business
• Life away from the ring at the Headlock Ranch
• His legacy as the patriarch of the Windham wrestling family
• Fatherhood and mentoring Kendall Windham and Barry Windham
This is not a polished corporate retrospective. This is Blackjack Mulligan, speaking freely from his sanctuary in Texas — sharing road stories, locker room truths, and heartfelt reflections in what stands as one of his final major interviews.
From territorial wars to family legacy, from cowboy boots to championship gold, Mulligan’s impact on professional wrestling is undeniable.
Filmed on-site at the Headlock Ranch in Eagle Pass, Texas.
A true wrestling legend. A true cowboy. A true original.
